So I had to get back to, like, normal life, knowing that I don't have to, like answer to, like my sergeant or something if I'm going to be late or just just my sleep schedule is still the same, but now it's a little bit different. That was a rough time as well. But job searching, I mean, job searching is easy, especially if depending on what you want to do outside the military. So I'll see what the security job I'm doing now. It was easy because background, my being military background, obviously, is decent to have, good for it's good to have as security guard and everything. So, but now that it's been a few years after, I pretty much almost feel like almost 100% back to normal. So, and if I do go back, it's be a rough change going into that situation. So I mean, once a while, obviously, with you still, you still use your military, like training outside in your normal life, too, with certain things, especially when, like, it's a big group, you'd go out to the mall, to a concert, whatever. It puts you through the rear, I'll see mental health and all that. So it's like, when, when you're especially when you're battle buddies, when you're out and someone wants to win, some like, are out too, it's hard for them to, like, readjust, but you got to make sure, like, you're there for them, like, make sure their head's straight, make sure the mental game is straight. Make sure that they're set up with like, lives, their families and all that. Same with like even, even outside the military, with just your friends who haven't been through it. You take that like mental toughness, you learn from the military, and you have to be there for them as well. I mean, it's a it's a big change for a lot of people. People think they have a lot of people. It's different for other people, life is hard. We all obviously take it a different way. But obviously, being in the military, it's like it gets rough. It gets really rough. Fall asleep. Well, someone with people dealing with PTSD and all that, it's a hard time for some people to. Stand that. So that's what, that's why. Like, I'm that's always there for for my guys, no matter what, what it is, give each other cough, FaceTime, whatever. And if we need to go somewhere, to fly over to hang out with each other, we can the same outside of those that group, too. It's like, if you need something, just let me know. I mean, times give off sometimes. So it's like, Hey, if you need someone to stay up a little bit, it is. It's nice. Materials taught you to keep your mental strain strong as hell, real well. So it's like, it's a good time, but also at the same time. So you always have that thought back your head, like, what if this happens? What if that happens? So it's like, if I'm gonna get that call too, if something goes down. So I'm still, I'm obligated to eight years. So I'm already at four years. So like, so you're doing your IR, yeah, okay, yeah. Bravo.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://arizona.aviaryplatform.com/collections/2980/collection_resources/153718/file/282813#t=1260.0,1284.999"},{"id":"https://arizona.aviaryplatform.com/collections/2980/collection_resources/153718/file/282813/transcript/81677/annotation/57","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"SPEAKER 2: I think it's a great choice, honestly, especially if you're looking for something like especially as a career, military has everything things think of, no matter if it's 11. Bravo. If you're a tanker cook or whatever. There's so many different paths that military could give you and go down that line, and as well as like, the classes and courses you could take there, I'll take, take, take advantage of that. Honestly, the benefits are amazing as well. So if you need information with like health care, whatever military is the way to go, I'm not saying that's the only reason not to go so, but yes, as in the long run, if, if someone wants to do their full 20 years and get their pension in retirement, I, I will say, definitely a way to go. So obviously, I'll see you afterwards. If you don't want to do your full full 20 years, or however long they want to do, take that advantage of those courses, those classes, especially with schooling, and just do that as much as you can. Even, I would say, do it while you're in military as well. It's hard, but I will say, get it done so once you're out, you don't have to worry about you have a certain like a straight path to a certain job you want to do, and go straight forward and have that, have a, was it certs or whatever it is, PhD, whatever you want to do, also you have that done and ready to go. And that's the best and more tips about if joining, just tip wise, I would say, just don't I would say, don't mess up too much. Just listen to what you got to do. Take if you got orders, if you got a task to do, just head it straight out. I mean, people complain, whatever. But in the end, it's like we all do the same thing. We all times are gonna be different. We all get to go home afterwards. Sometimes we get up, be able to get up in the morning later for before first call and all that. But tips just it's not people think it's hard, but it's really not. It just take it day by day. Honestly, surround yourself with a group, with a good group of it doesn't just have to be the two degree, the whole company or another company, that's the worst. So certain stuff, like good people keep it they'll know, make sure you get through however long you want to do. So he helped a lot of us out with that finance too, and if we needed some kind of help, or, no matter what it is, he was there for us. Nicola too, obviously high ranking than him, like a captain, whatever. If he needed something and something was going on, he was there for us. Just obviously, when you're working and you can't really like relate or like talk how you can outside of work, but as long as you're, like, doing your job up inside of work. Work and make sure he's doing okay. So nothing comes back on him causing his platoon leader. So if we mess up, it goes, all goes, all him. So as long as we're doing our task or thing, make sure at the end of the day, before we go home, everything, all the tasks are done. Nothing's messed up, nothing's broken. He's gonna be he's it's gonna come back on him in a good way, and he's gonna be in a good mood, and he's gonna look out for the rest of us too. Then obviously, outside of, outside of work, when we're off hanging out just, just like a brotherhood, I mean, just having a good time chilling when you don't, don't have to drink, not to party, obviously, just have, like, go out play sports, if, if your peels into that, like tennis, basketball or anything, just get that bond going, get that brotherhood going for sure with the PL. So just just, pretty much say about pls wise. Same with your captain, too, of the company. So if you, if you can relate with certain things, like outside of work, like before you join you guys relate with like, certain, like football team, certain, like hobby or whatever that's that's good too. So just smell like, pay attention that kind of stuff. So when your career goes on, and when those PLS, like, could come by as awesome as an officer. You help your buddies out like that. Just have your guys back 100% sure. So even if it comes rough to like, gets really rough, still be there for you guys. Make sure like they're doing, they're doing their best. Make sure that I'm standing everything like, just be there for you guys. Honestly have their backs no matter what the situation is so but sometimes, I mean, higher rankings get heated with each other. But if you show you guys, you're there for them. Hey, they're gonna have your back no matter what, especially when it comes comes down, like, sit down, down to business. If they could trust you, they're gonna have your back no matter what the situation is, honestly. So it'll be, it'll be nice. Just be there for you guys, for her, for sure, and just help them out as much as you can. There was, there was a rotation we did out on California for a whole for a month. But without some COVID, something happened with COVID, everything. Someone got on the bus that lied about being tested positive for COVID. So my whole platoon pretty much had to be taken to we couldn't do the whole month, which sucks. So we they had to take us and separate us from everybody. But that whole time, I think that that was a big thing where we all became one. We're having we're doing sports inside of the town. We're having a good time making jokes. We had this one, one of my buddies, uh, his name was, we have my buddy foster he's a funny dude. So always put a smile on everybody, no matter what the situation was, I was cracking jokes. Then we had another one of my buddies, those wheels crazy because we just sleep house as much as we want.
