If you're wondering what Cuba Czechoslovakia Singapore, who ganda and Yemen have in common, there are among 21 countries that have one student attending the University of Arizona. figures released by the U of A show that students from 93 other countries have enrolled in academic programs for the current semester. There are slightly more than 1200 foreign students attending classes at the university with 248 students new this semester. Admission record show neighboring countries to the south and north have the most students at the U of A with 240 from Mexico, and 82 from Canada, Iran and Saudi Arabia are close behind with 80 and 73 students respectively. Men students outnumber the women almost exactly three to one. The University of Arizona's division of economic and business research has published Arizona's first complete abstract of economic and socio economic statistics. The report titled Statistical Abstract of Arizona 1976 contains more than 500 tables and maps covering 23 categories of selections. A spokesman for the division of economic and business research said the report is an effort to develop and disseminate economic and socio economic data on Arizona in quantitative terms over a period of time.
