Poetics and Politics (1991-1992) was a graduate seminar and series of public readings by thirteen Native American writers. The events were held in the Spring of 1992 at the University of Arizona and were organized by Professor Ofelia Zepeda (Linguistics Department) and Professor Larry Evers (Department of English). Audio and video recordings from the events include readings by Joy Harjo, Roberta Hill Whiteman, Daniel Lopez, Nora Marks Dauenhauer, Leslie Marmon Silko, Felipe Molina, Nora Naranjo-Morse, Simon Ortiz, Greg Sarris, N. Scott Momaday, Luci Tapahanso, James Welch and Ofelia Zepeda.
